When Lacey walked into the studio in an oversized Armani t-shirt, her 13 year old son’s sweatpants and her coffee still in her hand, Lacey looked as terrified as excited. “I scheduled a session during ten minutes of confidence…I had seen photos Caitlyn had taken and they were all stunningly gorgeous. It seems like people assume I’m confident and love my body because I’m smaller. The opposite is true, I feel so much pressure and every flaw stands out, no matter a person’s size. I wanted to celebrate my size and my flaws.”

With a lot of easy laughter and her favorite music on, it became clear that Lacey’s personality matched her fiery red hair. “When Caitlyn showed me a couple images on her camera so I could see for myself how amazing I looked, I couldn’t believe it! I was still me, I didn’t feel made over into someone else and I looked amazing, felt amazing, and the amazing dose of confidence came with it. That confidence hasn’t left. There are days I wish my butt was different, my boobs were bigger and all that but when I see those photos…I’m so perfectly happy to be in my skin.”
