Meet Kelly | Bomshell of the Week
Kelly is this week’s Bomshell of the Week! She is another of our very own Bomsquad Team Members. Kelly is the Chief Operations Officer at Bomshell Studios! You probably talked to her when you booked your session. She may have even gone through your images with you, and she does a lot behind the scenes to make sure all your sessions run smoothly.
Outside of her work life, Kelly is a mom of two human babies and two fur pupper dogs (though soon-to-be four fur babies – she’s got two kittens on the way soon!) Her kiddos, Ryelee and Roarke, are 9 and 4. Kelly says being a mom is the “favorite adventure she never expected to love.” When she isn’t at Bomshell, busy doing the mom life thing or spending time with her boyfriend Colin, Kelly can be found knee-deep in a novel – whether she’s reading it, listening to it, or writing one herself! She is a self-proclaimed (and confirmed by all who know her well) stationary addict who loves random dance parties and making people laugh.
We sat down with Kelly to get some insight on what made her choose Bomshell for her own session and why that changed her life?
What made you decide to start looking into Bomshell for your own session?
I met Caity and some of the Bomshell staff around a decade ago at a Bridal Show when I was first planning a wedding with my ex-husband. I was super drawn to Bomshell’s work and Caity’s electric personality, but I didn’t think I had the confidence to do something like this. A few years ago, I wanted to do this as a gift for someone – I had no idea what kind of gift I was really giving myself.
What was your first session like? How did it make you feel?
My first session with Bomshell was honestly amazing. I had a pretty long year prior to my session of really taking a long look at my mental health, and building myself back into the person I wanted to be after being stuck in the funk of being a stay-at-home mom and a housewife for almost a decade. My session was exactly the spark I needed to be able to see myself in a different light. I walked up to the studio, feeling sick to my stomach thinking “why on earth would I ever pay to do something like this? What was I thinking?” I couldn’t believe how comfortable everyone made me feel. And seeing the images afterwards had me in complete and total shock. I had NEVER seen myself in that light!
How has your session with Bomshell changed your life?
I cannot even begin to describe the ways that this kickstarted something inside of me. This literal jumpstart was exactly what I needed to see some of the “bigger picture” things happening in my life that were desperately needing adjustment. And that isn’t even counting the amazing career that developed because of it!
What is the best part about being on the Bomshell Team?
After the way I felt about my own session, I knew I wanted to help other women feel the same level of empowerment and badassery! Now, I get to do that every day!
