Thursday Thoughts: Guest Blogger Brianne Pt. 3

Last week Bre spoke about getting out of the comfort zone, breaking the cycle and getting back on your feet! If you missed it, click here to go back! This is the final installment of her self growth series for September, thank you for reading!

Part 3: When you’re on a high, sometimes life happens and knocks you halfway down the mountain.

So imagine this. You’re driving down a road feeling great singing to the music everything is going amazing and then you see a little bump in the road. No big deal, right? Well you hit that bump and then you realize you’re driving on a grooved road and have to go slower. Now you’re driving along a little more cautiously, still singing just not as loud and you don’t notice those nails in the road and BOOM. You pull over to change your tire when you realize you have 2 flats. Now you’re sitting in the middle of nowhere, one tire a spare, one a flat, no longer singing.

Life will hit you hard now and then. We all want to get out of our funk but sometimes we just don’t know how. Things don’t seem bad at first and you might think it’ll pass but then the days keep flying by and you’ve lost your momentum. I lost sight of my “why” in that funk, but I found it again.

I fell into quite a deep depression part way through my journey of happiness and self-love. Bills started to pile up and I felt it. I fell off the wagon with my fitness goals. At one point I said to myself, “what’s really the point anymore?” I became irritable and angry. Sure I was smiling on the outside, but inside I was miserable. I needed to do something to get back on higher ground, so I isolated myself thinking this is the only way to get through the storm.

That is NO WAY to live your life.

We all have been there. You don’t have to do it all alone, not all battles are meant to be fought by yourself. A support system is the best thing you can have in your emergency kit. Maybe all it takes is that one person to shoot you a text or give you a call and say, “Hey what’s up?” You could be that person for someone else. Please, I beg you to reach out to someone. You don’t even have to tell them something is wrong, just ask how they are doing. Maybe helping them will help pull you out of the quicksand.

My “why” is to be better for myself. I want to look in the mirror every day and see someone who is giving her heart to the world, not to get anything in return, but to make it a better place in the end.

It’s hard to pick yourself back up after you got so far.…but it’s possible and makes the victory even sweeter. Sometimes you need to do something out in left field. Maybe booking that boudoir session you’ve been dying to try will give you the confidence to say ”YES” to that blind coffee date (it did for me!)

I changed jobs, left a bad relationship, kicked ass in kickboxing and became a Bomshell Babe! The people I surround myself with on a daily basis have my back and encourage me to do great things every day. I am so blessed I have an opportunity to share my story and help other amazing women in their day to day lives.

Life is a journey of highs and lows. Don’t let the lows rule you!
